The Department of National Defence, Area Support Unit (ASU) London, used this product in 2008 with excellent results. The Armoury in St. Thomas, ON required a new roof. After extensive research it was deemed that due to the high wind conditions, an alternate material was required other than asphalt shingles. Also, due to the heritage value of the building, the product must reflect this status within the community. The reoccurring maintenance expense of the roof was also taken into account. Authentic Roof Building Products Ltd. was awarded the contract.
Since 2008, Authentic Roof has stood up against the high winds, ice and sleet without an maintenance issues. The roof has not faded and retained its color ensuring the heritage look of the Armoury. Since the product has been installed a substantial cost savings in maintenance, heating and cooling has been realized.
